Vegan chicken burgers with vegan mayonnaise
It remains one of our favorites: a burger on a bun. Possibly served together with (sweet potato) fries or baked potatoes and/or a fresh salad. Enjoy! No inspiration for dinner yet? Then here is a suggestion that will make your mouth water!

- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 vegan chicken burgers from the supermarket
- 1 tablespoon of (olive) oil
- some leaves of little gem lettuce or iceberg lettuce
- 1 red onion
- ¼ cucumber
- 1 tomato
- 3 tablespoons of vegan mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon of water
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon honey

Heat some oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken burgers according to the package directions.

Put a grill pan on the heat and let it get quite hot. There is no need to add oil. Cut the hamburger buns open and grill the cut edges briefly in the hot grill pan so that the surface becomes a little crispier and creates nice grill marks.

Whisk the vegan mayonnaise, water, onion powder and honey into an even sauce.

Cut the onion into thin rings. Cut the cucumber and tomato into thin slices.

Spread some sauce on the bottom half of each sandwich and then top the sandwiches with some lettuce.

Place the chicken burgers on the lettuce. Top with the onion, cucumber and tomato.

Spread some more of the sauce on top and then place the top buns on top. Finally, insert a wooden skewer into the burgers.
