Dutch “Frikandel Speciaal Deluxe”
A loaded Dutch street food favourite with crispy chips, perfectly cooked frikandel and the three unmistakable Oliehoorn classics. If frikandel is not available, skinless sausages make a great alternative.
Frikandel is a classic Dutch skinless sausage, served here with crispy chips and topped with three unmistakable Oliehoorn favourites.

Ingredients (8)
- 800 g chips, fresh or frozen
- 8 Dutch frikandel, or skinless sausages if unavailable
- 12 tbsp Oliehoorn Frites Sauce
- 4 tbsp Oliehoorn Curry Ketchup
- 4 tbsp Oliehoorn Tomato Ketchup
- 1 large white onion, finely chopped
- 8 gherkins, cut into small cubes
- 4 tbsp chives, finely chopped

Cook the chips until golden and crispy, either in the oven or in a fryer.

Slice the frikandellen, or skinless sausages, lengthways about three-quarters of the way through

Then fry or cook according to the instructions on the pack.

Spoon the Oliehoorn Frites Sauce into each frikandel. Top 4 with Oliehoorn Curry Ketchup and the other 4 with Oliehoorn Tomato Ketchup.

Finish with the chopped onion, diced gherkins and chives. Serve straight away with the chips.
