The development
Our Sauceologists have been deep in their sauce lab for the past few months. Surrounded by tables full of snacks, they worked in silence on something new. It often started unexpectedly. A lunch moment with a toastie that was just missing something: “What if we make the sauce a bit rounder? Fresher? With a little tang?” Or a special fries that asked for a bit more kick.
They experimented with cinnamon with onion. Mango next to mustard. Letting ginger, pepper, and pineapple join in the snack round. They didn’t ask themselves easy questions: how do you give a sauce character without it taking over the whole snack? How do you make it stand out without overpowering? How do you build tension without setting your lips on fire?
They tasted. Noted. Rejected. Tried again. Until one afternoon it suddenly clicked. Not just tasty, but exactly right.
Oliehoorn Extra Spicy Curry Sauce
A sauce with extra guts. Firm in texture, mildly sweet in base but extra spicy in flavor. No brutal heat, but a unique sauce with enough heat to give your favorite snack, fries special or hair salon extra spice.
Oliehoorn Sweet and Sour Curry Sauce
The sweet and sour counterpart in the curry family. Soft and spicy in base, but now with a fruity, sweet and sour twist that gives your snack moment a new character. Fits perfectly with chicken snacks, an exotic loaded fries, but also feels at home in Asian cuisine.
